BEGIN YOUR PATH TO RECOVERY
Catalyst Physical Therapy is a physical therapist owned private practice that believes that individualized attention provided by skilled physical therapists is what is needed for a successful rehabilitation program. We tailor your rehabilitation program based on your impairments and your goals. Whether it be to climb a 14ner, or be able to go up and down stairs without pain, our therapists are there for you.
Catalyst Physical Therapy was founded on the concept that every patient deserves to receive the highest quality of care available. In a time of increasing healthcare costs, and diluted care, Catalyst pledges to its patients to always provide one to one services by experts in orthopedic, spine and sports physical therapy. Trigger Point Dry Needling
Trigger Point Dry Needling (TDN) is a technique used by physical therapists to treat myofascial pain and facilitate an accelerated healing response by eliminating the neuromuscular dysfunction which leads to pain and functional deficit.
Neuro Reeducation is a term utilized in rehabilitation used to describe retraining of movement patterns or positions. This could be as simple as learning how to correctly bend forward to pick up a piece of paper, or as complicated as navigating a ski slope at top speeds.
One of the key features that differentiates physical therapy at Catalyst Physical Therapy (CPT) from other clinics is the dedicated one-to-one treatment. There is no use of aides or assistants. Our therapists specialize in treatment techniques that not only decrease pain associated with an acute injury or surgery but also help decrease the aches and pains associated with daily life.
Therapists at CPT are Orthopedic Certified Manual Physical Therapist and Sport Specialized therapists that have worked in the field for multiple decades. They are the medical providers for the Glendale Raptors and Merlins Rugby programs, Major League Rugby (professional rugby) and are highly involved in USA Rugby and US Olympic teams.
Both Dr Valenta and Richard Quincy have traveled the world extensively with sports teams and have had the opportunity to take care of our US athletes in multiple World Cups and in the Olympics.
At Catalyst Physical therapy, we recognize that each patient is an individual and we work with you to establish a program specific to your goals and individual needs. We perform dedicated, individualized treatment that combines manual therapy, therapeutic exercise and neuro reeducation. Our goal is to not only help you recover from a current injury, and return to doing what you love, but to also prevent reoccurrence.
I can't say enough good things about Amy. I have a torn labrum in my right shoulder (due to two dislocations) and, thanks to her, I was able to avoid surgery and continue to play competitive rugby without my shoulder holding me back. She truly understands athletes and the desire to get back to training as quickly as possible. My teammates and I have been so lucky to have Amy on our side. She listens to every complaint, studies every injury, and always provides the best care. She is invaluable.
As a highly competitive rugby player I have had many injuries that have kept me off the field. Amy has been phenomenal in getting me up and running as soon as possible. She is extremely helpful in making a plan that will get me playing again. She answers all of my questions and is aware of my progress so that I do not try to push too hard too soon. Without Amy I would not be able to compete at the level I do. She is one of a kind and someone that I highly recommend.
